Course Structure
During the first year the MA Art History in Rome from Late Antiquity to the Present provides all the students with a solid background and in-depth analysis in three main disciplinary areas: art history; archeology and architecture; methodology; during the second year the students will choose four specialized courses, naturally orienting their academic careers towards a more specific research field.
First year: Core Courses
- Art History (Medieval, Early Modern, Contemporary)
- History of Architecture
- Archeology (Roman, Late Antique, Early Christian)
- Material Culture and Restoration
Second year:
Students will choose 4 courses among
- History of Roman Civilization
- Old Masters Prints and Drawings
- Museography and Planning of Art Exhibitions/Events
- History of Italan Construction in the 20th Century
- History of Urban Planning
- Early Modern History
- European Law
- Art Theory
Extra activities:
- Foreign Language (other than English)
- Stage/Curricular Internship
- Final Thesis
